PVC Sheets and Rigid Vinyl Panels Go Way Beyond Pipe
If you are choosing a plastic raw material, the first step should be to look for the best material with the proper physical properties. PVC (Polyvinylchloride or Rigid Vinyl) is a very strong and exceptionally versatile material that proves itself as a winner in an ever growing demand for mechanical types of plastic resins. This material has an exceptionally wide versatility in the many ways it is utilized and how it can keep up with the rough conditions it is regularly put under. PVC Pipe has been shown to take a beating in fluid handling industry and it works extremely well underneath our front yards for our sprinkling systems.
PVC for a wide variety of industrial and mechanical applications

As one of the premium industrial plastic, it is supplied as PVC Sheet or PVC Rod. PVC, unlike some other materials, is amazingly easy to work with. And, it is not necessary to buy expensive tooling to make your parts. You can use most of the same tools you would use on wood and steel. Unlike some other materials, PVC can be cooled down easily using cold water or you can use an air compressor. Standard manual or CNC equipment, punch machines, routers, drills and saws can all be utilized to make parts from PVC. If you would like to seal and bond this material, that’s not a problem because like the PVC Pipe, the sheets and rods can be adhered with cements or you may weld it together. The price of PVC is considerably less than most other plastics that are harder to work with. These are reasons why PVC should definitely be on your list of choices of plastic materials.
Standard available sizes and thickness range for PVC Sheet

The industry standard sheet size for PVC is 48” x 96”. Those in industry may know those measurements because this is also the common size of drywall and plywood. Because PVC comes in these same sizes as other common construction materials it should be fairly easy to put in storage. As for the thickness, .062” – 3” are our stock thicknesses, however, it can be made thicker if needed. While processing this material cuts and machines well, and we can offer cutting to your blank or precision sizes. We are please to cut the rest of the mechanical and engineering plastics, including: Acetal/Delrin, Nylon, PEEK, Sabic Ultem, and dozens more; call for details at 866-832-9315.
PVC Sheets really take a beating

PVC has numerous excellent properties, including meeting the UL 94 V-0 flame rating. This certification means that this PVC (Rigid Vinyl) material is fire retardant, and is classified as 'self extinguishing. You may now be thinking “PVC sounds great so far, but I want to silk screen on a material”, then that is not a problem, because PVC Sheeting is here! PVC is also known for being able to accept paints. It is heat bendable, vacuum formed in thinner gauges, and bondable to materials such as wood, paper and other plastics.

PVC material can be sanded, routed and you can eliminate scratches and scrapes by surface buffing or wet sanding them away. With PVC being so versatile and also very low in cost, it's no wonder why it is so popular with manufacturing and engineering companies. Click here for PVC material specifications.
